Hosted by LHG of Athens-Clarke County, GA
It's time to learn about how to keep or make our gardens all organic!! You know those soil tests you get back from extension and they offer recommendations of 10-10-10 fertilizer - that's Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium - but it's all made from petrochemicals! Come learn about organic amendments that will help feed the beneficial microorganisms in our soil who, in turn, feed our plants.
Our speaker for the evening will be UGA Assistant Professor of Horticulture, Kate Cassity-Duffey. Kate has a focus on organic production.
Please remember that our speakers are not paid and we thank them with gifts from our home(steads) like canned goods, fresh produce, eggs, soap and other handmade items. Please bring a contribution to the speaker basket.
