Spring Plant Sale Review

What a huge Success it was! With the help of the Board and a few key women, we were able to offer more plants than ever and sell so many more plants than ever.

Salve Workshop

Sat, April 10

12:00pm - 2:00pm EDT

Join us as we make our own Summer Green All Heal Salve with Laura at Longshot Farms! This salve can be used for itchiness or minor wounds, and the herbs used can all be found in your yard or grown at home. You will go home with your own jar of salve!
Please wear a mask as it will be necessary to be in close proximity to others for everyone to participate and see what's going on. You might also want to bring your own chair.
Registration is required - you can do this through the our chapter's community page on the NLHG Mighty Networks, or you can email athensclarkega@nlhg.org to register and you can pay through paypal Friends and Family with the address below.

We had so many more plants to sell after the initial sale that we chose to mark everything 1/2 off and we still made over $1000 that day. So THANK YOU to everyone who participated and who bought plants. We are going to spread that money out among out members and local makers in the surrounding counties. January 29th marks the 10th anniversary of the first LHG gathering at our founder Cyndi Ball's House. We have grown so much since then. Our organization thrives on community connection, hands-on learning, and building friendships within your community. Even during this difficult time where illness has spread across the world, we are moving and changing and evolving to continue to support women in homesteading and sustainability.

Due to Covid-19 We are regularly participating via Zoom on the 1st Wednesday of the month in conjunction with the National Ladies Homesteading. To gain access to a Zoom Gathering, please email us at athensclarkega@nlhg.org or look at our events page on the NLHG Mightly Network.

The Athens Chapter of the National Ladies Homestead Gathering currently gathers on the 1st Wednesday of each month with the National Ladies Homestead Gathering on their monthly Zoom Gathering - See the list of topics below.

We share announcements, herb of the the month presentation, a fellow Member's homesteading HERstory, and then a presentation on the month's topic. Meetings are free for everyone so come join us! We look forward to meeting you.
This is a women only organization. Women 16 ages and up are welcome to attend and women with Babes in Arms may also attend. We are working on a children's section to be watched by a mother or a sibling.
