Welcome to the Ladies Homestead Gathering! I must admit, every time I type in the address for our website, my heart smiles…. A very BIG smile!
I still can’t believe that only a short 3 years ago, I posted on our Lazy B Farm Facebook page an invitation to all women who were interested in homesteading. And in January 2011, over 20 women gathered at my farmhouse.
There was an instant connection; an electricity filled the room as we began to share our dreams and longings for a sustainable life. We met again the next month, and the next... New faces appeared, and our knowledge expanded, our community grew, and our friendships deepened.
The loneliness that I felt prior to meeting these women vanished. I was now in the company of many interesting, like-minded women and my desire for community with other women was fulfilled!
If what I have shared with you here tugs at your heart, then come along and join us. We are all on a journey, a homesteading journey, and how much more pleasant that journey is when surrounded by supportive, “atta girl” friends, who also walk alongside us. Come on, grab a hand and let’s go!
Feel free to wander through our website and please let us know if we can help answer any questions.
Need to know if there’s a Ladies Homestead Gathering near you? This page should answer that question.
Want to start a Ladies Homestead Gathering in your own community? Please pop over to this page.
A modern homesteader is one who has an attitude and philosophy of self-sufficiency and is not confined, nor defined, by a piece of land, area, or experience
If that sounds like you, then you’ve found the right community!
We welcome you with a big basket of knowledge, community, and friendship,
Founder and President
The National Ladies Homestead Gathering exists to provide a welcoming environment, where women can share new ideas, celebrate victories, address challenges and cultivate community with like-minded women. All women are welcome who have a dream, calling or desire to be more self-sufficient. Single or married, in the planning phase or a veteran homesteader – every woman has something to contribute or gain from coming together.
